| Dr. Trey
Holland, past president of the USGA, has been involved in
promoting golf for individuals with disabilities for many
years. He currently serves as President of the National Alliance
for Accessible Golf.
Dr. Holland is
particularly interested in the Rules of Golf and their application
for the disabled. He was a major proponent in the USGA’s
development of A Modification of the Rules of Golf for Individuals
with Disabilities and also served as chairman of the USGA Grants
Committee from 1996-99. Currently still on the Grants Committee,
he brings his knowledge of golf for individuals with disabilities
to the USGA’s grants process and their support of programs
across the country.
Dr. Holland, who
served four years as vice president of the USGA before serving
as president in 2000, joined the Executive Committee in 1991
after serving on the USGA's Sectional Affairs Committee. He
was chairman of the Championship Committee in 1998-99 and served
as chairman of the Rules of Golf Committee from 1993-97.
Professionally,
Holland is a physician, who practices with Associated Urologists,
Inc. in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is a graduate of Wabash College
and the Indiana University School of Medicine.
