| This grant will support instructional expenses at 26-30 adaptive golf clinics for individuals with disabilities. Clinics are held across the country and focus on training techniques for physical and recreational therapists to teach their patients. 2,400 individuals with disabilities will be reached by their therapists and PGA and LPGA Teaching Professionals through these golf clinics. |

| This grant supports instruction, transportation, adaptive golf equipment and golf clubs for the Children's Golf Foundation's programming. The program introduces golf to youth with a variety of disabilities. CGF reaches 500 youths and providing them with instruction and course access at their recently-completed, fully-accessible golf facility. |

| his matching grant will expose 700 individuals with disabilities and juniors to the game of golf through ten clinics and after-school learning opportunities. The program will operate at nine courses along the western Florida coast, showing the collaboration of instructors and communities in bringing the game to those who would not otherwise have the opportunity to play. USGA funds will be used for equipment, instruction, and single-rider adaptive golf cars. |

| This grant supports the Disabled Golfers of Florida program, which provides instructional opportunities for individuals with disabilities throughout the state of Florida. The Golf Association of Florida will also run a series of tournaments through this program that will pair individuals with disabilities with able-bodied players. Grant funds will be used for instruction, golf course access, and driving range access. |

| This matching grant will support a new golf program for Special Olympics athletes. Participants will attend more than 25 lessons and will have ample course and range access opportunities. USGA funds will be used for instruction, golf course access and equipment. |

| This grant is in support of a program offering instruction to blind individuals. The program's 25 participants meet twice a month at local practice ranges, par-3 and regulation courses. |

| This two-year grant is in support of a program offering instruction and course access to blind individuals in the Charlotte area. The program's 20 participants meet twice a month at local practice ranges, and par-3 and regulation courses. Programming operates March through October each year. |

| Supports driving range and golf course access for 90 participants who are introduced to the game using specialized instruction and on-course play. Participants will also have the opportunity to take part in On Even Par's Golf Buddies program, whereby each disabled participant is paired with an able-bodied individual, who plays with him or her on the golf course. |

| Sonny Ackerman's golf program operates two-day clinics for PGA professionals and therapists to teach them the therapeutic benefits of golf for individuals with disabilities. The attendees then take the knowledge learned and help maintain monthly clinics at various locations primarily across the southeastern region of the United States. This USGA grant award will help both types of clinics undergo significant program expansion, with the goal of engaging about 1,750 individuals with disabilities, therapists, and golf professionals in the clinics. |

| This matching grant enables 40 individuals with disabilities to participate in a golf program held at two The First Tee sites in northeast Florida. USGA funds are specifically be allocated to instruction, course access, and equipment. Both The First Tee of St. Johns and The First Tee of Jacksonville, where programming will be held, have received USGA grants in the past. |

| This grant will support an organization that serves both economically disadvantaged youth from the Children's Home of Tampa as well as individuals with disabilities from Camp Florida. A total of 300 individuals will receive golf instruction in the summer and throughout the school year. |

| To support several components of the first ever "Blind Golf and Vision Impaired Open," including access, instruction for juniors and educational materials. |

| This grant will support USBGA with events complimenting the U.S. Blind and Vision Impaired Open over four days in the Fall of 2002 at the Trophy Club Country Club in Dallas, Texas. 250-300 people, including blind golfers, coaches, volunteers, PGA professionals and juniors, as well as golf and vision organization representatives will participate in the events. USGA funds will go toward the "Blind Golf Forum," the professional golf educational and training seminar and post tournament introduction to golf for junior golfers who are blind or sight impaired. |
