The
National Golf Course Owners Association
(NGCOA) operates under the mission
“to enhance the lives of
golf course owners by making their
business more profitable, more
efficient, better managed and
more stable.” One of the
ways the NGCOA has recently worked
toward this goal is by providing
information to their membership,
now approximately 5,000 courses
strong, on how they can make their
facilities more accessible for
individuals with disabilities.
NGCOA representatives serve on
the National Alliance for Accessible
Golf (NAAG) Leadership Council
and have been instrumental in
producing NAAG’s “Tool
Kit for Golf Course Owners and
Operators.” The “Tool
Kit for Golf Course Owners and
Operators” can be found
on this Web site under Tool
Kits. Additionally, the NGCOA
has aided the Resource Center
in the construction of the Database
of Accessible Courses and Facilities,
also located on this site.
